Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has Four major program areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & Advocacy. DEC works in three National Regional States of Amhara,Afar and Oromia and Addis Ababa City Administration.

 

 

Together with the strategic partner’s DEC has built excellence in the provision of quality

services for disadvantaged community members in the country. It has developed and makes

use of appropriate & relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to guide its management and operations. Realizing the global challenges of continued access to funding opportunities and towards ensuring institutional sustainability DEC has embarked on considering alternative local fundraising mechanisms with the establishment of an income-generating office


Position 1 – Protection Officer

 

Education MSc/MA in physiology, health and related fields

Experience  2 years of direct CSO work experience

Position 2 – Education Project Officer

 

Education – MSc/MA in Social work social science, Health and other development fields

Experience – 3 years direct CSO work experience.

Work Place – Afar,Addis Ababa

Deadline – August 18/22

Experience to work with grass root community

Experience to work with women self-help group (WSHG), cluster level associations and

farmer groups.

Experience on lobby and advocacy works and system changes.

Excellent communication skills both on local languages and English languages


Position 3 – Entrepreneurships Project Officer

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

 

Participate in the design, supervision and implementation of activities, in accordance

with multiple activities and targets

Support of conducting needs assessments, awareness raising and information activities.

Facilitation of Youth Development trainings such as employability, entrepreneurship, and

digital skills trainings and other workshops.

Support to skilled youths to enter the workforce through internships and/or employment

and/or business mentorship activities (referrals, tailored projects, peer-to-peer activities)

Lead Entrepreneurship/ Skills Development Coach to closely supervise and provide

support to seed funding and small businesses in Duhok.

Assist the small businesses in troubleshooting supply, production, distribution, or

bookkeeping issues.

Conduct regular check-ins with the Entrepreneurship/ employability Skills Development

Coach to evaluate the progress

Position 4 – PMEL Officer

 

Education – MA in Economics, information technology, or a related field with equivalent
